This short film set out to be a relatable snapshot of the emotional lows everyone is experiencing throughout isolation. The narrative follows the simple joys of checking in on a friend, despite the mundane topics of repeated conversation. A conversation which had to be recorded off script in Melbourne lockdown, as this was the only way we could capture an honest tone of voice. By complementing their responses with poetic imagery and an uplifting track, we were able to shine a more positive light on the feeling of being alone.
